LETTERATURA: “Le Cosmicomiche”, by Italo Calvino
Fluency Required
Le Cosmicomiche, born out of the creative imagination of Italian writer Italo Calvino, are a series of short stories, published staring in 1965. Calvino starts from a scientific background to blend themes such as the Big Bang and the extinction of dinosaurs into fairy tales-like stories where fantasy and humor are deeply intertwined. The main character, Qwfwq, fictitious figure as old as our planet, tells us events he personally witnessed. Through him, the genius of Calvino transforms these stories in surreal and engaging short novels.
